ABOUT OUR CHURCH

The ________ Church in _________ is part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a worldwide  body of Christian believers . We are part of  the Protestant community on the __________ ______.  We have approximately 19 million members worldwide, including more than one million members in North America. The Seventh-day Adventist Church seeks to enhance quality of life for people everywhere and to let people know that Jesus is coming again soon.

Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone.
When He returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day.
Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything—the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us—is part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.

About Our Church

Humble Beginnings

Our church started as a small group back in 1991 in the small town of Lonnyville. At first there was just a small group of us consisting of close friends and family. Over the years we grew inviting more and more people into our group and share the love that we had for our lord and savior.

Our First Church

And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Matthew 16:18

After our small group grew to be larger than anyone could host at their house. We worked with the conference to get recognized as a full fledged church body and began saving to build our very first church building.

After a year of building funds, planning, and praying the lord blessed us with a sum enough to begin the project. Eventually our first church was finished and we all prepared to celebrate our first sabbath in our new sanctuary.

The Big Move

Time changes all and many years passed. We have had a number of wonderful pastors come and go as well as members pass through our church. As of today we have a grand total of 278 members that attend our church regularly. Sadly our old church building has seen better days and once again we had to move and rebuild.

Once again God provided for us and we where able to build another church larger than our last and in a better location to reach more in our community. We look forward continuing the journey of our church growth and we hope to see you at church or at one of our upcoming events.
